Tyler Dettloff (Anishinaabe Métis/Italian) is a musician and poet from the swampy Delirium Wilderness of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Tyler is also an Assistant Professor of English at Lake Superior State University where he teaches English Writing and Native American Literature courses. His first chapbook of poems “Belly-up Rosehip: a Tongue Blue with Mud Songs” released August 2019 through Swimming with Elephants Publications. His poems have been featured in The Rumpus, Frontier Poetry, River Heron Review, Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature and Environment (ISLE), Cutthroat Journal of the Arts, Jelly Bucket, and elsewhere.
